The company is also well-known for its advanced approach to Virtual Instrumentation Software Architecture (VISA) that, together with excellent remote-control capabilities and its strong commitment to Customer’s success, places the company at the leading edge on instrumentation diagnostics and technical support.

Together with its global network of partners and distributors, Polymer Char supplies, trains, and supports customers worldwide. The company provides analytical services to more than 35 countries, and its instruments are present today in over 25 countries across the Americas, Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and the Asia Pacific (Source: Polymer Char website)

GPC-IR® – a solution like no other: Automated, Reliable and Polyolefin-dedicated

GPC-IR® is a fully automated, high-temperature Gel Permeation Chromatography (GPC) / Size Exclusion Chromatography (SEC) system, with highly sensitive Infrared detection for Molar Mass Distribution and Chemical Composition Analysis of Polyolefins, dedicated to characterization of polyolefins. It incorporates high-stability Infrared (IR) detection, which delivers an outstanding baseline and simultaneous detection of concentration and chemical composition, which adds a new dimension to the GPC analysis..

What is the Winning Recipe for a Top Product

Polymer Char’s philosophy regarding their product development has been dedicated to putting all its efforts in what it is superior at and subcontracting other technologies from other dedicated suppliers who are first-class experts in their own fields. Polymer Char selects the best suppliers for the electronics and measurement tools of its products, since it is really aware that in the Research field, the Customer’s interest is to receive high quality and technology corresponding to the latest scientific advances.

This way it gets the sum of the latest technologies in one single and very reliable product. In their electrical instrument that acquires data, Polymer Char chose to use LightningChart® in the data processing software. In this software, the signals acquired are plotted, in different Y axis, and sometimes in X axis as well. The main chart types required were XY charts. The ability to plot vertical lines and cursors that the user can freely move around, were also beneficial. Polymer Char is currently developing a new data processing software that will include 3D plots obtained from the signals acquired.

Juan Sancho-Tello, Software Projects Manager at Polymer Char thinks that the best attributes of LightningChart are its speed, simplicity and flexibility. He declares that LightningChart has the fastest rendering they have ever tested, and that rendering speed was in fact one of the deciding factors why they chose LightningChart. Sancho-Tello continues that the developing with LightningChart has been shown to be simple enough and fast. He also points out that every single detail can be fine tuned to match their software’s design guidelines.

Besides LightningChart being a state-of-the-art product, Mr. Sancho-Tello also appreciates the unlimited technical support that’s included in LightningChart .NET subscription: “We have used the technical support. Response time was perfect, and skill level was also excellent.” When asked about the actual benefits he feels using LightningChart has brought to them he replies: “New features in the application (ongoing 3D plots) and also improved responsiveness of the software.”
