High = 2

Best anti-aliasing and quality, lowest performance.

On DX9 drawing happens on GDI and is slightly slower and nicer than other levels.

On DX11 drawing is done using ClearType. The final output of the text may vary between users / devices / monitors as windows. Uses user based calibration of the ClearType that affects the rendering.

High quality text setting does not work if the text background is fully transparent all the way through LightningChart, when DX 11 is used. This limitation is part of how the DirectDraw / CleartType works.

Low = 0

No anti-aliasing, best performance.

Mid = 1

Anti-aliased fonts.
